Quiche Base!!

6 eggs ( or use egg substitues for a healthier version!)1 cup Cheddar Cheese – mix in a few different ones!  Use blue and add beef!

(or your favorite cheese, it really doesn’t matter, I like cheddar-- mmm or gruyere!)

¼ tsp Salt

½ tsp Pepper

¼ cup heavy cream, (or half & half, or milk)

Frozen Pie crust (normally in freezer labeled ‘dessert pie crust’, it works and is cheap!)

OR Just add Water Pizza Crust OR

*Flaky Buttery Crust — P(See recipe below)

(Meats, Cheeses, Vegetarian Proteins, Veggies, Olives, Spices of Choice – endless!!)

Thaw frozen crust (or prepare just add water/ homemade).  Beat Eggs, salt, and pepper together in a mixing bowl.  Place any meats desired in pie crust.  Add spices desired to egg mix.  Add cheese(s) to egg mix.  Pour into pie crust and voila!  Brush some egg mix on crust to give a shine!  Bake at 350ºF until golden brown on edges and the egg mixture is set (no jiggling movement when lightly shook!)

Serves 3-5, or one hungry student!

Money Saver Idea!  Leftovers are great for Lunch, Dinner, a snack, with a meal…basically this can be made anyway you wish!  I suggest using provolone and cheddar cheese with those cheap frozen steaks (cooked and chopped up) and some green peppers for a philly cheese steak quiche!  Delicious while you study!

* Flaky Butter Crust

1 ¼ cups All Purpose Flour

¼ cup Ice Cold Water

½ cup Butter, cut into cubes

Pinch of Salt

Mix flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.  Slowly, using a fork cut the butter into the flour to form crumbles. A few teaspoons at a time mix the ice cold water into the flour butter crumbles.  Do this until the dough forms a ball.  Roll the dough and place in a 9 inch pie pan.
