Hot Apple Cabbage Salad

½ Cabbage, chopped

1 Apple, Julienned

½ Onion, chopped

1 tbsp Butter

1 tsp Sesame Seed Oil

1 tsp Soy Sauce

2 tbsp cup Apple Juice

½ tsp Cinnamon

1 tbsp Sugar

Pinch Black Pepper

Pinch Salt (1/2 tsp)

 

Bring the butter, oil, onions, and the cabbage to a sauté over medium heat.  Leave to sauté until the cabbage becomes rich in color and the onions are translucent, about 15-20 minutes.  Add the apple juice and spices and leave for the juice to reduce with the cabbage. This takes about 10 minutes.  Add the apples and remove from heat.  Serve as a first course, along side pork chops, or use as a stuffing for your favorite pork loin!  Absolutely delicious and refreshing!  Toss in walnuts for extra crunch!  Enjoy
